InnovationOwl Technologies

InnovationOwl Background:

InnovationOwl is a research project initiated by Jeremy Ralph, a Computer Engineer (from the semiconductor industry) who is passionate about developing custom financial analysis systems to improve investment decisions.  Using the Internet, a personal computer, and his custom developed software, Jeremy has constructed a highly configurable, autonomous stock selection system with benchmarking capabilities.  The system has demonstrated excellent potential, is described in Owl's Nest Quarterly Newsletter and is currently being used to manage an investment club.

In addition to developing the system, Jeremy has been spending more time studying financial analysis and portfolio management concepts to improve the quality of  his systems.  He enrolled in, and successfully passed Level I of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Program in 2003 and wrote the Level II exam in June of 2004.

Computer Assisted Financial Analysis and Portfolio Management:

InnovationOwl systems utilize the internet, a client server based methodology and a centralized database server.  This approach enables the analysis of a large universe of potential investments.  The database also provides a means for testing potential investment strategies, developing new models, and optimizing existing models.  InnovationOwl is working to create several successful stock selection systems and financial models that incorporate a wide variety of concepts.  InnovationOwl conducts research in the following areas:

  1. Computer Science and Computer Engineering
  2. Financial Theory, Economic Theory and Financial Analysis
  3. Conceptualization and Implementation of Computer Solutions for Financial Purposes
